31

I read this quote on a friend's blog. I love it! I recently turned 31 and it was a fantastic day! I am truly blessed and loved. I have so many people in my life that make me smile, laugh, and realize how great life really is! Thank you family and friends. My class was sweet and very giving all day. I love those little fourthees - even those days that they make me want to scream. In the end - love 'em. My family and friends showered me with calls, visits, cards, texts, and facebook messages. It reminds me that I need to go out of my way to call my friends and do more visits on random days. My parents and grandparents took me to one of my favorite places to eat - Bonzi (similar to Tepanyaki). I just love the entertainment and the food is pretty dang awesome too. Thanks mom, dad, and gparents for dinner. Your gifts and cards were kind too! My bday didn't end at dinner. I get the next two days off for spring break. Hope the weather stays nice.

Sunshine Generation

(Not the best pics - check out the video footage)

My sister has her kids in the singing group Sunshine Generation. Luckily it isn't the most strict singing group and they sure have fun doing it. Makell and Kaison get really shy up on stage. Kaison was exhausted during this performance and he had to use the restroom. My sister is good to always give her kids opportunities to explore different prorgrams and groups. These kids do singing, swimming, and soccer. Kaison loves to ride his bike and four wheel. They both will be well rounded!!!

Look at me! I am four and already biking & fourwheeling!

Kaison turned four on March 20th. We celebrated by mountain biking in the morning, four wheeling in the afternoon, and partying the rest of the day! We were packing up to go biking and Kai yelled, "I wanna go!" Krehl took him thinking he would let him bike in the parking lot and on the dirt road. Oh no - that's not exciting enough for Kai - Kaison rode down the first half of Kessel Run up 18 road. The first few times we was hesitant and crashed. Kool Kat Kai got up and continued!!! He road that section of the trial four times and rocked it!!! Way to go buddy!

During lunch we opened gifts and hit a Winnie the Pooh pinata (thanks Krynn)!

After lunch we went to Rabbit Valley near Fruita, CO and four wheeled. Kaison has been riding his four wheeler alone for a few months. He is confident and goes fast. He likes to get air off of the bumps. He is going to be very good at everything he does - he has guts! Happy Birthday!

Keep your eyes on the trail. Did you notice he is always looking at me?

Turn it off and get a life

The average teenager watches 3 hours of television per day. Other teens spend about he same amount of time veggin on video games. "Turn it of and get a life! We need to stop watching other people live their dreams on television and start living some of our own." Quote by John Bytheway.

He's Smart, That's No Reason to Flaunt It

After meeting with my parents for PTC I have to give thanks to all the parents out there that support their children with their education! Read with them and spend quality time together! Please know taking them to dance, band, soccer practice, etc. isn't quality time. They need your time!

Music class with my niece and nephews

When my mom and I were in CO we went to Kaison, Makell, and Quinn's music class. Some of Amy's friends teach songs, poems, chants, etc. every Wednesday with neighborhood friends. I am impressed by the activities they do with the kids. What a great way to teach music, sharing, and patterns in language. They played instruments walking around in a parade. Even Quinn got into this song!
Not for long...he was playing with the door shortly after.
After the kids sang they decorated cupcakes. Do you see all of the marshmellows Kai has in his area? He ate them all too. More sugar! Like he needs it.
Amy's good friend, Celeste, got into the songs with the boys.
Makell has Kindergarten every other week on Wednesdays. She is a true performer. She get into the songs and really puts on a show! I love watching her sing.
All of the kids used puppets to do this song fast and slow...high and low. I need to get a list of their songs and a cd of their tunes.
Braden and Quinn found more entertainment away from the singing. Boys will be boys!
Kaison and Royce sure enjoy singing together! Kai sure has many great friends.

in the heights

My mom, sis, and I went to NY back in February and saw a variety of Broadway shows. Wicked and In The Heights were fantastical. Not many people know about In the Heights, it's a brilliant show. I would recommend it to anyone. I was thrilled watching it and would pay to see it again in a heart beat!!! Here's a little clip to satisfy your curiosity. Enjoy!

jump ladies jump!

Ruth, Holly, Valery (me), Anne, Lindsey, and Alicia all pulled together a jump rope, dance, and chaotic routine for our ward's Talent Show. We practiced two days and performed it. It was hilarious for us and I'm not sure how it looked. I had a lot of fun doing it. I never do talent shows. My talents are more out there...biking, climbing, underwater basket weaving, etc. Hard to show on a stage. Needless to say...we had a ball. Here's a shout out to all the JUMP LADIES!!! Thanks for making this experience one to remember! I had a blast!

Happy Birthday Dad!

Happy Birthday Dad! My parents were in Fruita, CO with my sister, Amy, and her family over the weekend. My dad's birthday was March 2nd. As you can see they spent the weekend playing with the kids. To celebrate my dad's birthday we went to Texas Roadhouse and got their yummy rolls with honey butter and the sweet potato. I could get those two things and be happy there. Delicious! I think my dad was happy with his birthday events. On his actual birthday we didn't do anything special but the days before his day and the days after were filled with celebrations for him. I love you dad!!!
