We played with our cameras to take up some time before the New Year. It was only seven o'clock and we had plenty of time to explore. Thanks yurt group for playing with my silly ideas.

The TORCH - this was the final snow sculpture. Once again the ice sheets added to our creation.
Ben got the hang of cross country skiing. This was the first time he'd ever been on skis. He's got skills! His yoga training truly paid off on this fall!
New Years Day - We trekked up to another yurt. It was stocked with pop tarts, condiments, expired butter, and PAM. We needed it...Ben made pancakes earlier that day and struggled without cooking spray-he managed. We definitely didn't go hungry!
This is the Stegosaurus we made on New Year's Eve. We had planned to make a budda and a white elephant but then we found a huge layer of ice. We were inspired by our surroundings.

It took us four hour to get up to the yurt and only 2 hours to get down. Benefit of cross country skis!!!
